What to Wear to a Church

What you should wear to church depends largely on what church you're going to attend - for instance, Catholic or Orthodox. Churches within one confession can also have differences in their dress codes with some being more liberal and others more strict. In any way, your outfit should be modest and conservative. Here are four quick tips to help you choose your outfit for attending church:
1. When you don't known your church's dress code, opt for a midi dress or a below-the-knee skirt and top combination.
2. Avoid tight silhouettes, deep necklines, open shoulders, high heels, blitzy jewelry, in other words - anything provocative or sexy.
3. Many churches require women to cover their heads, so think of it in advance.
4. While in the Orthodox Church the traditional posture for prayer and worship is to stand, in a Catholic church you're going to sit for most of the service. That's why if you're attending the latter, it's good to opt for fabrics that don't wrinkle easily.
